My name is Audrey DeFord. I'm a southern girl born and raised in the wide open spaces of the Texas flatlands. I started this blog back in 2008 to document a year spent living overseas in Vienna, Austria. Since then, I have traveled through Europe, Asia, and Africa, gotten married, bought a home, and adopted a little French Bulldog named Shortstack. My husband's name is Sam. He's a talented singer/songwriter and my best friend in all the world. Four chickens have recently joined our little family. Their names are Fancy, Maud, Aunt Faye, and Cleo. Together we are all learning how to love well and practice thankfulness in every area of life.
